Brown Eye Girl Series: Purple Double Winged Eyeliner

Hello everyone!
This tutorial will be the first in my series titled "Brown Eyed Girl" which are eye looks directed towards us brown eyed girls. These upcoming looks will be sure to make your eyes pop!

For my first tutorial, I thought I would do a purple eye look. Purple is very complimenting on brown eyes and thought this would be perfect, dramatic, yet wearable eye look. While this eye look does specify purple, you can also change it up and use blues, greens, pinks or any color that you wish.

Before I get started, I thought I would point out that if you do not own any of the following products, substitute them with any that closely resembles a color I use.

Products Used (in order of which they were used):
Urban Decay Eye Primer in Original
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Barley Branded
Urban Decay Naked Palette (Virgin and Buck)
Sephora Long Lasting Eyeliner in Fancy Violet
L'oreal 24h Infallible Gel Liner in 171,  Blackest Black
NYX Eyeliner in Jet Black
Tarte Carried Away in Touchdown in Londontown
Clinique Extreme Volume Mascara
Duo Lash Adhesive (clear)
Tarte Carried Away in Touchdown in Londontown

Steps:
  1. Make sure that eyelid is clean and primed with an eye primer to ensure the makeup lasts all day without creasing. Apply a small amount and blend onto the eyelid and bottom lash line.
  2. Using a fluffy brush, place Buck on the crease for definition. Using your finger, apply the color tattoo in Barley Branded on the eyelid. This will serve as an eye base. Blend.
  3. Once the base has been blended, using a flat shader brush, place the color Virgin all over the eyelid. Blend Buck and Virgin onto the crease until any harsh lines have diminished. Go back as needed with Buck to help blend.
  4. Create a slightly thick line on the upper lash line (not too thick!) using Fancy Violet and flick the end to wing it out.
  5. Make sure the purple eyeliner has dried before applying the black gel liner. As with step 5, line the upper lash line, but create a thinner line (make sure the purple can still peek through!) and match the wing with the one created in step 5.
  6. Using NYX's black eyeliner, line the waterline.
  7. Apply the same base from step 2 onto the bottom lash line and blend. Use a pencil brush or a thin eyeliner brush to place Touchdown in Londontown on the bottom lash line. Blend well.
  8. Apply false eyelashes and run mascara through the top and bottom eyelashes.
  9. And your'e done!

As with anything else, all it takes is practice, practice, practice!

xoxoxo!
